Apr 16, 2023, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Join a Friends' guide on an uphill stroll through the Botanic Gardens oldest planted trees .... and the newly planted Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Avenue and Woodland Walk on the way to the secret heritage garden where you'll discover an unlikely Gold Coast Gem!
On the walk, Kate will discuss the context of the garden in Australian and Queensland garden history, and explain some of the design character and aspects used by John and Essie Rosser. Sharing fascinating stories along the way!
Follow the Ring Road almost back to the Ashmore Road front gates where there is roadside parking. Meet at the Banner.
Wear study shoes as there is a gentle slope with some uneven ground. Wear a hat and bring a drink bottle.
