National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar Tour

Guests can visit Qantas Founders Museum seven days a week from 9am to 5pm from 1 May 2020 (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day). The Museum tells the story of Qantas from the early days in Outback Queensland to present day. Displays focus on the founding figures of Qantas, life in Outback Queensland in the 1920s and the advancement and impact of aviation in Australia and the world. Combining easy to read displays, oral history, genuine artefacts and interactive multimedia exhibits, the Museum offers the visitor a definitive historical experience of Qantas’ heritage. Museum Admission can be spread over a couple of days. If you don’t get through everything in one day – ask for a pass-out at the counter before you leave.
Qantas Founders Museum also offers The National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar Tour is available everyday. The tour, which normally runs for 30 minutes will begin at 11am and run for 45 to 60 minutes for the Heritage Festival. The Tour will explain the history and significance of this National Heritage Listed Qantas Hangar and highlight some of the many artefacts and exhibits on display in the Qantas Hangar. Available once a day at 11am with tours departing from the big Rolls Royce RB2-11 engine in the Main Exhibition Hall.
